OCEANAIR was founded in 1983 by Ed Kaplan, Joe Wyson, and Harvey Waite with a vision to create a logistics company built on genuine partnerships with clients. Starting as a small air export firm, we built a reputation for exceptional customer service and tailored solutions. As client needs evolved, we expanded to include specialized divisions such as Perishables and Pharmaceuticals, and later Domestic, Wine & Spirits, and Entertainment. We further enhanced our offerings by becoming CTPAT certified, opening a Certified Cargo Screening Facility, and providing Business Intelligence through advanced technology solutions. Today, OCEANAIR remains an innovative and adaptive logistics partner, delivering the expertise and solutions required to support an ever-changing global supply chain.

Our Sustainability Commitment

We believe sustainability is not a statement but a responsibility embedded in how we operate every day. As a New England–based freight forwarder, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through a light-asset model supported by electric-powered equipment and a solar-powered cold storage facility in Chelsea, MA. We continue to invest in advanced technology, including CargoWise, to increase efficiency, enhance shipment visibility, and track CO₂ emissions, while advancing toward a fully paperless operation by 2027. Across our business, we are actively reducing waste through smarter packaging, minimized printing, and ongoing recycling and reuse initiatives, while also encouraging our teams to support and engage with the communities where we live and work. At the same time, we invest in our people through ongoing training, recognition programs, and clear opportunities for growth—because building a more sustainable future starts from within.
