Minneapolis will focus primarily on expanding our U.S. domestic ground transportation services in the Great Lakes region. The Minneapolis operation will be led by Mike Wolfe. Mike brings over 30 years of experience in the transportation industry and specializes in truckload (FTL), van, flatbed, less than truckload (LTL), expedited hot shot, project freight, and over-sized specialized freight.
OCEANAIR Signs Multi-Year Lease for 127,000 Square Feet of Warehouse Space in Andover, MA
OCEANAIR s is also pleased to announce the expansion of our Andover, MA warehousing and distribution center. Strategically located 30 minutes north of Boston at 146 Dascomb Road in Andover, the facility will be expanded to 127,000 sq. ft. and features 20 exterior dock doors, over 100,000 sq. ft. of high bay space with 18-foot clear height and over 26,000 sq. ft. of low bay space as well as. The continued growth of our existing customer base, coupled with new opportunities, has created the need for an extension of our current footprint. This expansion will enable OCEANAIR to continue to accommodate the needs of our customers who are looking to outsource their storage and distribution needs.
2018 has been an impressive year of continued sustained growth at OCEANAIR. In March, we opened our first warehousing and distribution center in Andover, MA. In June, OCEANAIR announced the addition of the new truckload brokerage division which focuses on providing full truckload, flatbed, temperature-controlled FTL, and intermodal services along the Eastern Seaboard. And in September, we opened an office in Denver, CO to expand our domestic ground transportation and international services in the western half of the U.S.
