It appears the tides have shifted, as the ILA and USMX have found common ground and reached a tentative agreement to avert a January 15 strike at East and Gulf Coast ports. While the details of the agreement remain undisclosed, the ILA has stated that they will be shared after the proposal is thoroughly reviewed with its members and brought to a vote. The new six-year Master Contract aims to provide stability and support continued growth for both parties and the ports and terminals they serve.
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has started the year by expanding the Entity List, adding new entities and aliases with a focus on telecommunications, optics, and China. Notably, the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics, and Physics, along with three other Chinese entities involved in optics and optical instruments, have been added to the list.

In Champlain, NY, authorities seized counterfeit Tiffany & Co. jewelry valued at nearly $30,000.
