Customs House Brokerage

We provide our customers with tailored shipping solutions, ensuring the safe arrival of their most vital cargo.

OCEANAIR is C-TPAT certified and received the original certification in 2006. We filed over 4000 customs entries per year for the last three years, with 4723 in 2016. OCEANAIR passed every annual FDA Filer evaluation over the past ten years.

OCEANAIR’s operating system is capable of accepting a parts database. The system compiles a database of all parts by the client, and it allows a specific part number to default into the entry when chosen. Because our clients supply the information to upload into the system, the database can be tailored to be as comprehensive as the client wishes based on provided information.

U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) granted a National Permit to OCEANAIR, which allows us file to U.S. Customs Entries at every U.S. Customs Ports of Entry through the RLF program.

CBP requires the electronic transmission of 10 data elements a minimum of 24 hours prior to the vessel sailing from the foreign port of lading to the USA. This can be done directly by the importer if they have access or through the importer’s “agent.” We are ready to be your agent and process this filing for you.

Our Management Team can track USMCA savings and gains for possible duty recovery. Our current clients submit blanket USMCAA certifications annually and we then flag the appropriate SPI indicator in the client parts database.

OCEANAIR’s responsibility as a licensed Customs Broker is to ensure your company is compliant with U.S. Import Regulations. To achieve these ends, we value your business as an extension of ours. So, we provide meticulous oversight to ensure confidence in the safe arrival of your freight by treating your most vital cargo as our own. We make certain for clearance purposes that your shipment is compliant with U.S. Customs and relative government regulations.

As the Importer of Record, your company is liable for proper valuation, classification, country of origin markings and a myriad of other regulations. Our professional staff is knowledgeable in handling all types of products — from steel to food products, textiles and cosmetics, to computer hardware. Additional support is available through consultation services specific to U.S. Customs regulations and governmental policies from our Compliance Team. OCEANAIR offers a variety of clearance options for your company’s unique needs.
